Your 4 Nights 5 Days UNESCO cultural tour of the Kathmandu Valley will include a visit to Bhaktapur, Patan, Kathmandu Durbar Square, Boudhanath, Pasupatinath Holy Temple and Swayambhunath also known as monkey temple. In 15th century, the Kathmandu Valley was divided into the three independent kingdoms; those of Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Patan.

DAY 01

Welcome to Kathmandu!
Pretty much as soon as you touch down in this magical land at the top of the world, you’ll be eagerly greeted, and then whisked off to your comfy hotel in the middle of the city. Evening awaits you the dinner where you can speak with the expert what is in the bag for next day.

DAY 02

Here, you will have a guided tour of Bhaktapur Durbar Square including a visit to the Peacock window, Golden Temple, Lion’s Gate, Mini Pasupathi Temple, Vatsala Durga Temple, a paper factory and the bronze statue of King Bhupatindra Malla.
You will see Newari women wearing Haku-Patasi, a traditional black saree with red border.

Bhaktapur is dotted with stone pebbled open spaces, Malla era temples and various ancient artifacts,.
Bhaktapur is also rich in art and craft, you will see artistes in every corner of the city.
A visit to the pottery square will give you a detailed look at traditional pot making practices as well as the Newari way of life. You will feel as if you have entered a living museum! After lunch you will drive back to hotel and relax evening.

DAY 03

The world heritage site Pashupatinath is one of the most famous Hindu temples in the world. Dedicated to Lord Shiva with its golden pagoda style roofing and richly carved silver doors, and situated on the bank of the holy Bagmati River, cremation processes of the Hindu body are happening regularly.
After having a lunch you will be exploring Boudhanath, is the world’s largest stupa with 36 meters.
The design of the stupa is really fascinating, with hundreds of prayer wheels and 108 small images of Buddha all around.
The trip will have another advantage in it as the visitors will get an opportunity to interact with a Khempo (Buddhist Teacher) where the teacher will explain Basic Buddhism and its Philosophy.

DAY 04

Today we are walking through the narrow alleys of Patan.
Traditional mud houses complete with their original window frames still stand, the elderly tend to sit out and watch the world go by from their doorways.
Patan is famed for its crafts dating back to the Malla period (17th and 18th century). You will also tour the Krishna temple.
Make sure to visit these other famous Patan attractions, including; the Mahaboudha temple, the palace squares Mul Chowk, Sundari Chowk, Mani Chowk and Narayan Chowk as well as the stunning Golden temple and sacred stupas of Patan.
Next stop is the Kathmandu Durbar Square, home to the some of the finest crafts and architecture. Durbar Square also contains the famous “Living goddess house” or “Kumari Ghar”. The evening we will have dinner at Nepali restaurant.

DAY 05

Transfer to the Airport for the flight back to your home with sweet memory of Nepal, Kathmandu, different temples, mountains, nature, peoples and smile.
